Habs Sign Wisniewski

The Montreal Canadiens jumped at the chance to pick up James Wisniewski, who’s currently the third leader in points for the New York Islanders. With 3 goals, 18 assists, and 13 points on the power play, the Montreal Canadiens have instantly added depth to their blue line. Look for James to join the Habs in Tampa Bay Wednesday.

A New York Goodbye

The WIZ says goodbye to New York, with big thanks. James Wisniewski leaves the incredible Islander’s fans who, game after game, cheered him on shouting from the stands for the Canton-born hockey player impressively fighting his way through the NHL. James now looks forward to playing for the Habs – talk about hockey!

Nicole Wisniewski Takes a Worthy Path

Nicole Wisniewski joins the other ladies of the New York Islanders in an all out hair raising animal charity event. The DogCatemy Celebrity Gala took place November 4th with an impressive showing. The Islanders wives and girlfriends joined athletes, movie stars, several hundred guests, and a room filled with furry friends, to support the North Shore Animal League America’s DogCatemy. Drawing quite a crowd, the remarkable function paid off in a big way, by drawing attention to the ever-growing trend of homeless dogs and cats, and raising funds for the organization to continue the cause – to remain a voice for animals everywhere.

WIZ Stats

James Wisniewski’s assist in last Saturday’s game against the Kings, catches his opponents off guard and leads to an intriguing question. Just how do WIZ stats stack up? James Wisniewski, the elusive New York Islanders defenseman, sneaks into the top spot for power play assists with 9. He’s tied for first in power play points with 11, and he marks an impressive tie for sixth for points scored by a defenseman with 12. James WIsniewski continues to show up big and it appears that the Islanders got what they bargained for in WIZ.
